Video Chat Is Something That You Can Now Do On The Iphone

By Musa Aykac

A few years ago the possibility of video chat on a mobile device was strictly the province of the science fiction book or movie. But things have changed dramatically since then. Now video chatting has actually become a reality on mobile device thanks to Apple and Skype because users of the iPhone or iPod Touch can now take advantage of this amazing technology.

This means that no matter where you are you will now be able to not only talk with your friends and relatives but also be able to see them as well. We really are all living in the future nowadays.

The iPhone really does offer a lot of potential for video chatting. This is just going to be so useful because not only can we see our friends we can also get a glimpse at where they are. This is probably not going to be universally welcome by everyone though; it will make it more difficult to lie about our whereabouts when we are talking on the phone.

But having the ability to share some of your holiday moments with your friends back in work is something that will appeal to a lot of people. And if you are far away from your loved ones and just want to see their faces, then it will be lovely to be able to do this with video chat.

The Skype video chat option is now available for download to your iPhone or iPod touch. If you don't want to miss out on all the fun then it would be a good idea to download this as soon as you can. Every time that we think we have the best that technology has to offer, new improvements appear such as fully functioning mobile video chat; we really are seeing constant improvements in technology. Is there really anything else they can do?

Who knows, we may even see the day where 3D video chats are the norm and it will be as if we are in the same room as the person we are calling.

Why Do Smartphone Fans Love the iPhone?

By Harriet Appleton

Not since the bubonic plague has anything swept across nations with the momentum of Apple, and a key component of this near global domination has been the staggering success of the iPhone - already four generations along. Released in early 2007, there are almost more reasons behind this phone's popularity than there are Apps.

The foundations of the smartphone market were barely in place when the first iPhone was introduced. Offering a core functionality envied by other hardware manufacturers, and complemented by flexibility, style and an almost unparalleled capacity for entertainment Apple immediately created a standard for their smartphone competitors to emulate. From a single source consumers suddenly had access to a range of capabilities including music, video, mobile internet and what seemed a relentless conveyor belt of Apps, all through the iPhone's innovative high-definition touch screen.

The current specification continues to satisfy most technical aficionados (high resolution Retina display, HD video recording, 5mp camera with LED flash, GPS, OS4) but the mass-market appeal is possibly the key to the commercial success of any product. Contemporary users inevitably love a device that allows such simple and ready access the internet, and therefore social networking sites, email and downloading. And with touch-screen technology still in its infancy doing all of the above through a small glass portal still seems incredibly exciting!

And no-one appreciates more than Apple the importance of appearance: a byword for marketability. From the early representations of the Mac as a 'quirky alternative' to the PC's almost stuffy austerity, Apple has continued to combine style and substance without compromising either. The iPhone's spec, combined with its sleek, sexy, yet simple appearance has been crucial to its commercial success.

However the versatility of the iPhone is possibly its greatest asset with seemingly every possible App for every possible need. It can't cook your tea but it can find you a restaurant nearby. It won't make a spouse but will find you a plethora of websites for the next best thing. And if it doesn't make you happy then you're a somewhat tough customer to please. Nevertheless despite a few naysayers, and despite the increasing charge of the Android brigade, our love affair with the iPhone seems set to continue.

And you can telephone people with it too.

Why Android Tablets Are Considered A Better Choice

By Melissa Cullin

Android tablets may still be comparatively new in the market, but they have been acquiring good feedbacks already. After the much-hyped Apple iPad has been introduced earlier this year by Apple honcho Steve Job, other labels came up with their own creation using the Google-developed Android operating system. And because of the competition of companies that came up with their own rendition of Android tablets, buyers get more and better selections.

Android mobile operating system, marketed as an open platform, is now the quickest growing platform today. And while the iPad is still at the top of its game, Android-run tablets are giving the Apple gizmo some tough competition.

For one thing, Android tablets give consumers control over the plugins they wish to apply in their tablets so they can install the ones they consider needed and just delete the others. Android tablets also have Flash capabilities, unlike iPad, which, even after releasing its most current version, still fails to add the multimedia program.

Unlike the Apple operating system, which is intolerable of third party applications and only lets users to use the programs and applications made by the company, these tablets allow consumers to share the applications and plugins they have produced on their own.

Consumers are also glad to learn that an Android tablet has an unrestrictive characteristic that allows files to be shared and managed fuss-free. There are USB ports and micro SD card docks in most Android tablets to allow file sharing and management, features that are very useful and indispensable.

For the first time tablet users, however, utilizing an Android tablet may be a little bit challenging to operate. Separate keyboards and styli are rendered futile with the touch screen feature so the users are expected to type and browse using the onscreen keyboard and through touch.

As an Android-based tablet is an open platform, it has many renditions produced by several companies. It can be confusing for some. Still, an Android tablet is more flexible, and gives users more alternatives. Unlike its main rival, which is considered to be more of a pricey toy instead of a useful gadget, Android tablets have more functions and capabilities.

I came across a post on an Internet forum recently that really made the hair on my neck stand up. Some jerk was saying that any website which purveyed jailbreak software was a criminal enterprise and was just out to take your money. He went even further and intimated that if they did give you software to crack your iPhone, it would just be junk and wouldn't work.

I'd like to respond to that with this special bulletin. As a professional who's been using this type of software for years, I hate to hear this kind of garbage being spewed. Look - in order to crack an iPhone manually, without any type of software, you have to dig through every line of code in the iPhones IOS. This would be like trying to crack Windows 7. Would you be able to do it? Do you know how many lines of code there are? We're talking hundreds of millions of lines. It's simply not possible for an individual to do this. Teams of hackers toil for months, working 12 hour days, to come up with a crack so that they can put together automated cracking software. Now, millions of people around the world have cracked iPhones. Do you seriously think that they worked 12 hour days, with a team of hackers, to figure out a manual crack? Is everyone with a cracked iPhone a hacking wizard?

Or do you think that it's more likely that they are paying for jailbreak software and cracking their iDevice automatically?

Now, if people really are using software to unlock their iPhones the easy way, then where are they downloading the programs that allow them to do this? Does it fall out of the sky like rain? Do you buy it at Walmart? Does Jesus H. Christ himself install it on your computer for you? Or is it more likely that people are purchasing it online?

Alright, I hope that made sense. I'll now move forward to my second point: Each website offering programs for hacking is happy to accept Paypal. Paypal exists to make sure that you don't get conned. If you purchase something online with Paypal, and the vendor takes your cash or sends you merchandise or software that does not meet your demands, then you can get your money back through Paypal in less than 24 hours - no questions asked. If these websites were conning people, then every person that they stole money from would be getting refunds, and the webpages would not make a profit. So, as you can see, they possess no reason to con their customers.

Get it? So you know that these sites are legit. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Does Jailbreak Software Actually Exist?

By Gentri Clark

I heard something patently ridiculous the other day. A friend of mine was saying that he heard there was no such thing as jailbreak software. He said that, according to his information, all sites offering this type of application were not for real, and that only expert hackers could jailbreak an iPhone.

This week, I'll be giving you the same reply that I explained verbally to him: breaking an iDevice on your own involves digging through hundreds of thousands of lines of programming. Normally, cartels of elite programmers slave away for months and months on making a crack for each iOS that is made available from Apple. Without instructions, it could take a regular person a lifetime; Even if you had instructions, you are staring down a week's worth of toil. Millions of people have jailbroken their cell phones as of this year. Do you really surmise that every one of them all had the hacker skills (and the drive) to spend hours upon hours upon hours hacking lines of script, in the recesses of their mobile device operating system, to hack their iPhone/iPad/iPod? Are all of them hacking geeks?

Or do you think that it is much more likely that most of the millions of people with cracked iPhones have no hacking skills whatsoever and have actually bought the best jailbreak software that they could find to unlock their phones.

And if they're doing it automatically, then where do you think they're getting the applications? Does it appear like magic on their computer? Or are they buying it from a website? If all places on the web offering programs to crack your cell phone were scams, then no one would have a jailbreak on iDevice except for a few elite geeks.

I'll elucidate further: Every single vendor offering applications for unlocking is happy to accept Paypal. Paypal exists to make sure that you don't get conned. When you pay for something online with a company like Paypal, and the website steals the money you gave them or sends you merchandise or software that doesn't meet your requirements, then you can get a refund through Paypal with two clicks - no questions asked. If these jailbreak businesses were stealing people's money, then every person that they stole money from would be asking for refunds, and the sites would not make a profit. So, you should be able to understand now, they possess no reason to con you.

Do you see now? Do you understand after reading this why ninety-nine percent of all iGadget jailbreak software sites are on the up and up? It would not make financial sense for them to scam their customers - they would not make any dough!

Honda Accord is not iFriendly

By Windy Reigns

A short time ago, I test drove a new V-6 Honda Accord Coupe. The new, standard tech upgrades at my disposal: hands-free Bluetooth, XM Radio, a 270-watt audio system, were amazing and enough safety features (18 to be exact) to make any passenger feel protected and safe. While I enjoyed the power of Honda's 271 hp, 3.5 L, iVTEC engine, and the sportier look of the coupe model, I immediately felt that something was missing-an iPhone/iPod connection/auxiliary jack.

Yes, I know it sounds picky but it would be in the best interest of Honda to make an iPhone/iPod connection the standard or at least add an aux. jack considering that 51 million people have an iPhone and another 260 million other people have an iPod. The iPhone 3GS, Apple's current iPhone model, can play music over a Bluetooth connection, but the Hands Free Link system in the Accord does not play music over Bluetooth. The system only allows phone features to be used. One may contend, "well, just use a CD or the radio, or even, the XM Radio, a standard feature in the Accord!" However, with digital media now the norm it should be possible for Accord owners to carry and connect their complete music library to Honda's 270-watt stereo system.

While XM Radio is terrific, it simply cannot compete with a custom-made digital library. Sure an MP3 CD can be customized to hold 120-150 songs depending on the bit rate, but this is no comparison to the thousands of titles that can be stored on the iPhone or iPod.

Of course, Accord owners can buy a third party iPhone/iPod system for the Accord, but the stereo system and dashboard will need to be re-configured . The iPod car kit system needs to be run through the stereo and a dashboard mounted LCD screen must be attached. The end result detracts from the original beauty of the Accord panel display and worst of all, lessons the value of the Accord. iPhone/iPod to FM transmitters can be purchased by Accord owners. The transmitter plays music through an vacant radio station and connects to the bottom of an iPhone or iPod. Although after testing several "top end" transmitters like Belkin and Griffin, it felt as if I were listening to a walkman CD player without "shock technology". Every rough road, pothole or even touching the transmitter causes my music to stop. The muffled, often distorted sound of my music was even more annoying.Despite the Accord's phenomenal stereo system, the FM transmitters managed to transform my 256kpbs ACC files into mediocre playback sound quality that resembled ringtones on my phone-rendering this technology inadequate.

The lack of iPhone/iPod connectivity can be a letdown but it may not be enough to prevent a customer from buying a new Honda Accord Coupe. If Accord owners choose to listen to music through the stereo system they will have several options, but features available in iPhone/iPod compatible automobiles such as, direct access and selection of songs, artists and custom playlists are not accessible. Honda will most likely catch up with iPhone/iPod technology as they release new 2011 and 2010 models in the future, but for now new Accord owners will have to make do with the factory equipment provided.

Why figuring out how to buy Apple in bulk is so hard internationally and in the US!

By Joe Weiner

Are you a business in the US or overseas and trying to buy wholesale Apple in bulk now to sell online or locally? Maybe you are looking to buy only from the US, but can't figure out how in the US to buy wholesale cost Apple in bulk? Or maybe you want to sell the unlocked Iphone bought from the US.

Wholesale cost valid (non knock-off) Apple products do exist if you are an approved retailer. You can buy wholesale Apple in bulk now if you want but it will be much easier to do as a business rather than just an independent seller. To lower costs it may very well be worthwhile to take the time to become a business if you sell regularly.

Across the world Apple products are desired due the cutting edge design and functionalities only Apple offers. Many things you cannot buy overseas due to the demand and exclusive sales contracts in the US, the most known one being the Iphone. Hoards of people internationally want to buy an unlocked Iphone and can't because they aren't sold locally and don't have AT&T as a carrier where they live.

Where there is demand there is a need to supply and because of exclusivity of AT&T as a carrier in the US at least, it makes simply offering everywhere across the world an impossibility. Otherwise people in the US will buy from overseas to avoid being required to use AT&T's service which notoriously has a earned itself a track record of dropping calls and non-service cellphone service! This is why there is especially a high demand of people who want to buy an unlocked Iphone overseas and in the US.

If Apple would just sell independently rather than doing exclusivity contracts with carriers life for everyone would be much easier. And they probably would just as many Iphones without a required contract and provider, not less. Until this happens though it will continue to be a challenge for anyone that will want to buy an unlocked Iphone. At least the older iphones are pretty easy to jailbreak with a little skill and know how. You can find a guide on how to jailbreak on the website appleinbulk.com if you want to attempt to unlock an older model yourself.
