Using A Smartphone to Browse Video

By Gareth Jale

Smart phones have greatly improved our lives; it allows us to contact and communicate with our friends and families, as well as enable us to browse the Internet without the need of a computer. And as modern technology marches on, smart phones continue to develop new and exciting features to keep up with the needs of their various customers.

Currently, modern smart phones are almost capable of anything a desktop computer, or any other device, can do. Before, if you want to record a 1-hour video (or a longer video), you will need to have a video recorder and a video tape before you are able to record footages and videos. But with the latest smart phones available in the market today, such as the Motorola Triumph, the BlackBerry Bold 9930, and the LG Revere, you can record videos of up to 20 hours (depending on the storage), and send them to your families and friends without having to use a video recorder and a computer.

These smart phones are able to capture and record HD videos in high quality (720p - 1080p), as well as view it on the same quality. The Motorola Triumph, for example, has a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM, which makes it suitable for smart phone users who demand more power for multitasking. Also, it has a 5MP camera with LED flash and auto-focus, which makes it ideal for capturing videos to up to 720p HD quality. And with its extendable memory storage, you can record videos to up to 20 hours. You can also view and watch your videos using the built-in video application of the Motorola Triumph. It is advised that you make use of Motorola Triumph accessories such as battery packs so that you will not experience any problems while recording or watching videos.

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is equally impressive as the Motorola Triumph. The BlackBerry Bold is considerably better than Motorola Triumph in terms of specifications, having a 1.2GHz processor and 768MB RAM. The BlackBerry smart phone also has a 5MP camera with LED flash, but it has no auto-focus features. However, it is still capable of capturing 720p HD videos just like the Motorola Triumph. You can also use the smart phone to view your own videos, as well as your other favorite videos (through download or streaming websites) with the help of its video-viewing application. Again, it is advised that you use BlackBerry Bold 9930 accessories so that you can enjoy its functions without interruption.

Lastly, is the LG Revere from LG Corporation. While it is not a smart phone per se, it is still capable of viewing and recording videos, but not as great as the other smart phones. It has video-capturing capabilities such as night mode, self-timer, digital effects, and auto-focus. However, it is only capable of capturing videos to up to 240p - 480p due to its somewhat limited camera capability (1.2MP, which is significantly lower than the other two). Viewing videos with the LG Revere is fine though, as it can view videos no matter how high its quality with the same frame rate count. LG Revere accessories are also available so that you will be able to improve its video viewing capabilities, as well as to boost its performance and other features.

These three phones are only examples of the more well-known mobile phones and smart phones available in the market today. There are many others so be sure to check them out first before making your purchase.
