Attention parents! Now there is a Android SMS spy app intended for parents that wish to monitor the cell phone habits of their children. It is also extremely useful for employers monitoring usage of company issued smart phones, tracking the location of their delivery vehicles, finding lost cell phones, etc. The app captures incoming and outgoing call logs and text messages, as well as real time GPS location data. It then sends reports containing this information to your Gmail account at preset intervals.
The following information is contained in the e-mail reports:
Real Time GPS Location Data: The e-mailed report provides you with GPS location coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the phone being monitored. If GPS coverage is unavailable at that moment, it reverts to GSM (cell tower) location data. GSM data is not as accurate as location data from GPS, but it will give you general location data that can be used until GPS becomes available.
Historical GPS Location Snapshots: When you are configuring the software, you can preset time frames (every hour, 2 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc) that you want GPS snapshots saved. I recommend having it save a snapshot every 1-2 hours, which will give you a good idea of where it has been throughout the day.
SMS History: The report provides you a log of all incoming and outgoing SMS text messages. The information included is type of text message (incoming or outgoing), date, time, the actual message, and the phone number it was sent to or from. If the number is in the target phone contacts, it will also include the name that the number is registered under in the contacts.
Voice Call History: The report also provides you a log of all incoming and outgoing voice calls, to include type of call (incoming or outgoing), phone number, name (if in target phone contacts), date, time, and duration of the call.
You can set up Cell Phone Spy to run in stealth mode, which makes it completely invisible on the target phone. It gathers and saves the information and sends a report to your Gmail account which you can easy access anywhere, any time. You can use your existing Gmail account, but I highly recommend setting up a dedicated account. You can set the interval, in hours, as to how often you want the report sent. I recommend sending the report every 24 hours as getting the report every hour or 2 can be overkill. You can also configure it to where only you can send secret text messages to the target phone (the target phone user won't know it even came in) to get reports and real time GPS locations on demand.
