Regarding Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Free Service

By Lima Gonna

Can anyone really find and access a reverse cell phone lookup online for free? In the past, most of us have become frustrated and disappointed with our experiences with sites that appear to offer free products or services online when in reality, they do not. Is this also true with cell phone lookups?

Before anything else, let us understand first what we really mean when we say 'phone number lookup'? What happens basically is, if you have a phone number and you want to know who this number belongs to including the address of the person, you can use a "reverse lookup" service to fish out these information. In this digital age when deleting a contact list by accident is high, this type of service can be very helpful. There are many other situations, including if you just found a number and you forgot who it belongs to, you might want to verify it with a reverse lookup service before making wrong assumptions and wrong calls. Online, there are websites that would allow you to search for residential and business phone numbers, even toll-free phone numbers for free.

You would realize that these free directories may not contain a complete list of cellular or unlisted numbers. Disappointment may arise if you try running a query on these numbers and you cannot find any result. In the same way, these free online reverse lookup services also do not have in their database a list of fax numbers because these are only held by carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these information really exist, are they giving out access for free?

The good news is that there are websites that gives free online reverse lookups, but the bad news is their database is very limited. Access to a large database complete with landline numbers, cellular numbers, fax and unlisted numbers are not free. The reason why these reverse lookup services impose an access charge to their subscribers is because they are also being charged by the operators and carriers for access to their database and they also created a certain mechanism of compiling all of these information for their subscribers. Companies have different payment schemes: Some would allow you to do any number of queries for a reasonable fee; others are very minimal but only one-time lookups are allowed. Among the information these companies claim to have are the owner's complete name, address history, carrier details and phone connection status.Depending on the company, the information they hold may slightly differ. The most common are cellphone numbers, residential phones, business phones, toll-free number and pager numbers. They also claim that your queries are guaranteed confidential and legal.

Aside from that, other reverse lookups are more detailed and extensive in their summary report including background checks and background reports, bankruptcies, liens, public records databases including births, deaths, marriages, divorces and adoptions, sex offender records, police records, among others. None of these sites may differ greatly from each other in offering access to certain types of information for a fee, these specific information is not included in your cellphone lookup site membership access.
