Is The use of Spy Software On Cell Phones Ethical?

By Niall Roche

Do you feel uncertain or paranoid concerning a relationship or situation in your life? Everybody is that way from time to time, and we all know just how this doubt can change how you feel about anything. Naturally it is wise to pay attention to your intuition - that's what it's there for. It can be a major warning signal.

And it's for these reasons that men and women are counting more and more on private investigators, snoops and now the newest craze is spy applications that a person can install on phones. This type of software programs allows you to pretty much see everything your staff or your partner are doing with their phone. You can look at text messages and e-mails, see images, take a look at their phone book and also listen in on live phone calls if you'd like.

For many people the deepest levels of paranoia come with either work or in their personal relationships. Those are the two elements of our life that matter to us most and with work using about 50% of most peoples days and what's left of the day then being spent at home this makes complete sense. If you are operating your own business then you don't like to think that your workers is possibly stealing from you or simply wasting away their working day. Plus in your personal life the last thing you want to think about happening is your spouse or partner cheating on you.

But this is the challenge. As much as you'd like this knowledge to confirm or disprove your doubts can it be a morally justifiable option to take? Obviously just because you can do something doesn't always mean that you should right? This moral dilemma is usually enough to tie many people up in knots and so much so that they essentially don't take any action anyway. This simply leaves them with the lingering questions that they never get answers for. The irony here is that these unanswered questions burn away in the persons head and eventually lead to problems in their relationship anyway.

Could there be a way to clear up this concern? Yup! If the person implicated is doing nothing bad then they have zero to be worried about. But if your husband or wife isn't having an affair then at least you know for sure. The same goes for your staff but really your employees are using company phones therefore it is your property rather than theirs. The worst that arises from using this kind of software is some temporary remorse about spying on a person you would like to trust.

However, you could also catch the individual in their lies. Spy software applications can supply you with the facts to prove what you realized was the facts all along. In any event, don't you deserve to learn the truth, whichever way it plays out?

I believe you owe it to yourself to find out. Don't you?
