Synchronize Lotus Notes to your iPhone

By Thom Yarbrough

If you're an iPhone user, you're among the millions who own one of the best smart-phones available. When Macintosh launched their first iPhone in 2007, Time Magazine named it 'The invention of the year'. The higher capacity iPhone 3B that Macintosh came out with the next year upped the ante even further and now tech-junkies are eagerly awaiting the new Macintosh Apple iPhone due out this summer.

But for people who use Lotus Notes, the iPhone has one problem. Lotusnotes users aren't able to sync their data with iCal or Address Book. Macintosh's synching program, iSync, won't sync Lotus Notes data at all.

This means there's lots of wasted time keying Lotus Notes data into iCal or OS X Address Book so you can use it with your iPhone or other Apple supported device.

But now there's a great program from a company called PocketMac. PocketMac designs great ways to expand the Macintosh computing platform. Their synching program will synch all of your Lotus Notes data into iCal or Address Book. It's easy to use and it makes your iPhone much more compatible with Lotus Notes. No more wasted time entering data from Lotus Notes into iCal or Address Book. It's easy to use and gives you seamless two-way synching.

Their Lotus Notes synching program is called PocketMac GoBetween For Lotus Notes. It synchronizes your Lotus Notes data to your iCal & Address Book. Each time you run it, it performs a back and forth sync between iCal/Address Book & Lotus Notes. It's extremely user-friendly and it performs great two-way synching. It's a fantastic benefit for anyone who uses Lotus Notes and is also an iPhone user. PocketMac for Lotus Notes works with Lotus Notes Version 7, unless your system (especially Domino server) has the password controls enabled, in which case it won't allow you to go around the login to begin the synching process.
