Wide Range Of IPhone Applications Contributes To Its Impact

By Greg Holmes

While there were some other "smart phones" on the market a few years before the iPhone was launched by the Apple computer company, there is no question that the iPhone has caused some major changes in the way that people use mobile phones. One of the main reasons why Apple's offering shook things up so much was because of the vast array of iPhone applications that were immediately available for people to use on their new, cutting edge device.

With an iPhone you can surf around the internet no matter where you are. And, when we say surf, we mean with a "real" browser, unlike the tiny little, half-baked, internet viewers that the old "smart phones" offered. On the iPhone you even have a choice of different internet browsers to use in addition to the Safari browser that comes installed on the phone. On top of that there is a plethora of iPhone apps that make use of the internet to bring you information or allow you to interact with others.

One of the most popular iPhone applications that can be downloaded from the Application store, which is accessed through the iTunes software from Apple, is a very useful application called Personal Assistant. This iPhone app lets you access your financial accounts, such as banking and investments, as well as your other accounts, like your utility bills and credit card bills through a simple, but highly secure interface on the phone.

With the Personal Assistant you can see at a glance what your balances are and also receive alerts that remind you when a bill is due. There are many users who rave about the convenience of this program and who love the amount of time it saves them, while also assuring they are always on top of their finances. Some people are leery about inputting their account login information into this program, yet this application continues to be popular and gains high marks and good reviews consistently.

Many listed applications have very compelling and persuasive descriptions of what they can do. Users become so excited by what they've read that they eagerly have their finger over the "buy now" button. However, save yourself a lot of frustration and money by taking the time to visit an iPhone forum and read through the ratings and reviews of people who have already bought, installed and tried specific iPhone applications. Then you can buy with confidence.
