How to Choose the Right Sprint Phone Plan to Suit Your Needs

By Steve Best

Are you searching for numerous Sprint phone plans? You may have looked at these plans but still not sure which one to get, hopefully this article will help you. I have been through selecting a phone plan in the past and here's what I've discovered about different options they give you.

Here's an important thing though, before you agree to any plan, best go to Sprint.com website and enter your zip code to be able to see the best offers and check for wireless coverage - because, as you most likely know already, not every spot of the land is included with wireless/data or voice access.

Here are just a few details regarding their various plans, starting from the most basic one, up to the most premium, all-inclusive plans.

Basic

The first offering is the very basic offering, which is perfect if you only use your cell phone occasionally and want to be reachable. It does include night calling (starting at 9 p.m., can be changed to 7 p.m. for additional $5/month), countrywide long distance and no roaming charges. There are 200 Anytime Minutes included as well. At $29.99 per month, this is perfect if you would like the basic service at a good price.

Talk

Designed for people who call more frequently, there is Sprint Talk phone plan. It provides unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. Depending on how many Anytime Minutes you desire, the monthly price is either $39.99 for 450 minutes, or $59.99 for 900 minutes. If you are talking frequently, this plan is most effective for you; however, if your business is dependent upon calling many people, you might want to look at all-inclusive Simply Everything plan.

Everything Messaging

This plan is perfect for those communicating often with text message - unlimited messaging is included (text, pictures and video). Unlimited Sprint mobile to mobile, night calling (from 7 p.m.), nationwide long distance and no roaming charges - similar to the Talk plan, except with messaging included. There are 2 prices that depend upon the number of Anytime Minutes included - 450 minute plan is $49.99/month and 900 minute plan is $69.99/month. Now, for myself, I don't have a use for such plan, but if you have a teen who texts constantly, this is great for him/her.

Simply Everything

If you're best identified as a person who never lets go of his cell phone, this plan is the very best for you. It provides unlimited data, unlimited Direct Connect, unlimited messaging, and unlimited talk on Sprint network. An excellent point about this plan is that it is very simple - you simply pay a fixed monthly price of (presently) around $99 and you do not have to bother with anything else.

Simply Everything Family

Just like Simply Everything, but for those of us that have a family. For $189.98/month, two lines of unlimited data, Direct Connect, unlimited messaging, unlimited talk on Sprint network are included, and additional lines come at $89.99 per month. This is great for those who have a family that uses their cell phones a lot - with Simply Everything Family, you can easily arrange for the payment in advance.

Additional Sprint Phone Plans

For every single plan, Sprint offers the "Family" option - it's essentially the same plan but with more than one line, and a bit less expensive. However, it is unlikely that everyone in your family will have exactly the same needs, so I've left those out (besides Simply Everything Family, which makes some sort of sense for a cellular phone active family).

Conclusion

The plan you will choose will most likely depend on your cellular phone usage practices. If you would like to be reachable, use Basic plan. If you'd prefer to talk every now and then, look into Talk. If you are a texting person, work with Everything Messaging. And, if your business depends on you calling people, get Simply Everything.
