Communications In A Modern World Are Amazing

By Bruce Jopples

Communications in a modern world are like watching an episode of a science fiction sitcom. The person brings out a cell phone, just like the captain on the space ship, and requests to be beamed to another world. It matters not who is in front, beside, or in the next bathroom stall, privacy is a thing of the past.

Pictures of the world being awash with tidal waves or burning from a car bomb explosion are available at the click of a button or mouse. These events are not far away even though they may happen on the other side of the world. Sites allow the uploading of materials from computers, cell phones, and other electronic devises. Networking for social purposes is not just for visiting.

It is impossible to keep a secret these days. Recording devises are hidden behind every tree and lamp post. Life is no longer lived in privacy. Even sports events are not the only ones who replay, forward past down time, or keep recordings that are being used by unauthorized individuals. Boundaries have been blurred significantly.

Information is exploding, along with the immorality of individuals. Actions that were once only considered behind closed doors are now being shown to millions. Mistakes that were once innocent now result in rampant repercussions. Society must check itself a little more closely.

Individuals need to realize that the pictures and texts sent into cyberspace may come back to haunt them years down the road. The concept of matter neither being created nor destroyed takes on new meaning. Unseen waves of communication fill the air.

The lives of people are being broadcast, just like movies, television episodes, and books. Personal information is being sold all over the world. In fact, it may be viewed at this very moment.

Personal information is not only available illegally, but legally. Job seekers need to check what they have posted on their social networking sites. Curious employers may be looking to see what kind of people they are when they are supposedly private.

Taking precautions with communications will keep the identity safe and the public persona clean. Where there is no immorality, there is no worry. Check integrity today. Do not wait until it is in question.

Increased freedom requires increased responsibility. The actions of today may be in the evening news, no matter where and when they happen. Yes, communications in a modern world are amazingly wonderful when used responsibly.
