The Benefits of Switching to a Smart Phone

By Gareth Jale

A recent study conducted by the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics showed that many families are leaving their landline smart phone behind. In 2007, only 13.6% of homes relied solely on cell phones. As of 2010, that number increased to 26.6% of families. Many people are wondering if home phone lines are on their way to extinction. There are smart phones out there like the LG Thrill that provide a lot more features and benefits that what regular home phones do.

There are several reasons why consumers are choosing to get rid of their landlines. One of the reasons is cut costs. Almost everyone nowadays has a smart phone. There are even some children who receive mobile phones as soon as they are able to use them. With each family member carrying their own personal cell phone, there isn't usually a need for a home phone line. The fact is most families refuse to pay for any unnecessary service. many young teens and adults will also never pay for a landline when they have their cell phones. When leaving their parent's home, many young adults don't even consider purchasing home phone service.

Another reason why families are choosing to get rid of their landlines is because smart phones are inexpensive. They are so inexpensive, especially if you think about all the great features they come with. Many smart phones users don't just pay for talk time, they also pay for text messaging and data packages. When using this device, most users will also purchase cell phone accessories like a case and a screen protector. By leaving your old hose phone behind you will also be cutting down and making your bills more affordable.

However, cost is not the only reason families are switching to smart phones. Many smart phone users simply feel like owning a landline is unnecessary. In most homes, landlines are used to keep in touch with friends, family, and neighbors. However, smart phones allow users to stay connected to friends and family, even when they aren't home. A smart phone offers voicemail, call waiting, caller ID, and other popular services.

The LG Thrill also offers many features that home phones do not. When using this smart phone, consumers can play games, browse the internet, listen to their favorite songs, take pictures, download useful apps, and communicate with friends and family. The bottom line is that mobile devices have multiple uses that make them simply put, better than other devices. When using a certain LG accessories, like a car mount, these LG Thrill accessories also double as a navigation system.
