Mobile Application Agency Programmers Are Key To Your Success

By Mark Taylor

If your a business owner looking to create an online and "mobi" presence, no doubt you have considered creating a smart device app. But to select a good mobile agency can be tricky if you don't have some understanding of the industry. A little homework can give you a head start with all of this.

A quality mobile application agency will tell you that, applications are designed not for the mobi device but it's operating system. If you own an iPad or iPhone, you have probably visited the iTunes store and seen thousands of apps.

Today there are 3 major mobile operating systems. Apple's iOS which is very proprietary and applications made for this OS are very controlled and monitored by Apple. You must go through an approval process to get an app into the iTunes catalog for customers to download.

Google's "Droid" or Android operating system has taken the mobile world by storm lately. Its open architecture allows any developer to create dandy apps for it's users. This is an easy route to go for a very broad market. The Android system could begin to outpace Apple because of this.

Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system is one to keep an eye on. At the pace its spreading, it should be considered a major contender with Apple once again. Don't overlook this area, getting a foothold here could pay dividends in the years ahead. Microsoft's system is also an open architecture designed for the user.

These operating systems go together like apples and oranges. If you want to hit all three markets, your going to have to build three separate applications. A good application developer will be a crucial factor in this.

Some agencies specialize in only Apple. And other firms may develop for all three. You may even select a different agency for each app you want developed. Before choosing, look at previous applications developed for other customers. Get referrals and interview the developers to understand how well they grasp what your needs are.
