Official iPhone 5 Release Date Australia

By Raphael Delacruz

Everyone was preparing to rejoice in October 2011 for the announcement of the iPhone 5, but it was soon deflated when only the iPhone 4S was unveiled. With a a more powerful processor and Siri, there isn't that much of a difference between the iPhone 4 and the 4S.

The magnitude of the effect on the Apple and non-Apple camps was immense as it was confirmed shortly after the iPhone 4S release, of Steve Jobs' passing.

We believe that the iPhone 5 was pretty much ready but in Apple's eyes, perhaps there were just a few more things that needed to be completed before it was shipped out to the masses. We all know how Apple likes if not loves to show off something that's just impeccably perfect!

There were many rumors on the web of how it will look like, features it will have, and so on, but noone really knows until the minute that Apple presents it on stage.

We believe that the iPhone 5 will be release in the early part of 2012. Only a few countries at the start will be able to enjoy the iPhone 5 like the US, Japan, Australia, UK and the rest of the world will follow weeks after.

Thinking about upgrading from the 3GS to the latest iPhone? Why think? There are a lot more reasons to do so than to wait and save.

A fantastic benefit of upgrading is the speed of the new iPhone. Once you start using it, you'll wonder why you held on to that iPhone 3GS for so long! The user interface is a lot snappier and quicker to navigate. Apps will respond faster. Actually, a lot faster!

We used the Skype app on the 3GS and it just performed so slowly!

But for the basic iPhone user who only uses it mainly for calls, texts, and minimal apps (almost only default apps when you first load up your iPhone), then it's fine and there's no need to upgrade if you're okay with the speed.

The next reason you may want to upgrade is the camera. The new iPhone camera totally leaves the 3GS camera for dead. It's like comparing a film camera to a digital camera in terms of picture quality, brightness, and sharpness. It also records video in full 1080p HD.

The other reason for the upgrade is Siri. Siri is a voice activated feature in the new iPhone where you can speak commands like, "Call my husband", or "Setup an appointment with Jennifer tomorrow at 12pm". It will read your text messages (very hand when driving), and you can speak your reply to text messages as well! This is great for someone who is constantly updating their calendar, texting/emailing, whilst being on the move (gym, driving, etc...)
