It does seem indeed that half the world has a cell phone with tons of features. Through the spending of huge sums of money on branding, competitors seek to differentiate their products in the eyes of the consumer. Even though the Blackberry 9530 cell phone is outdated, there is still a healthy market for certain consumers. Advances in cell phone technology come at a price, reflected in the higher cost of the latest models, and not everyone can bear that kind of expense. It's also true that a lot of consumers do not really want all of the latest features. What these people want is a simple, reliable phone that does the basics well.
