Express Yourself By Creating Your Own iPhone Ringtones

Generally, we all like gadgets and stuff and just like any other material thing that we call our own, we tend to express our individualism through it by personalizing it as is evidenced by our iPhone ringtones.

The very first reason that makes people opt for free iPhone ringtones is that they won't need to pay to have ringtones that are professionally made. Free iPhone ringtones are also blessings to those who desire to have a variety of ringtones on their iPhone yet don't know how to make one.

Through iTunes, it is very easy to acquire your own personal set of iPhone ringtones. Fortunately, you could still create your own personal ringtone through your computer. All that needs to be done is for you to select a few of your most favorite songs and the iTunes software set up on your PC.

*Step 1 - Run iTunes by double clicking on its icon on your PC's desktop.

* Step 2 - Decide on which one song among your favorites you want to use for your ringtone.

* Step 3 - Now, listen to the song being played and decide on what part of it would best fot as a ringtone.

* Step 4 - At this point, all you have to do is ensure you take down the beginning and ending point of the segment of the song for your ringtone.

* Step 5 - The next step would be to right-click while the song is selected and choose "Get Info."

* Step 6 - The next step is to click on the "Options" tab that appears.

* Step 7 - Next to the "start time", type in the starting point of your ring tone in the box. It will be in minutes:seconds (i.e. 2:01) format.

* Step 8 - - The next step would be to specify the end point of the ring tone. Double check the length and ensure that it is not more than 40 seconds long.

* Step 9 - Next is to click "OK."

* Step 10 - Right-click your song again and select "Convert Selection to AAC" on the menu that appears. Your song will be converted and you will have to wait for iTunes to finish.A duplicate version is going to be created by iTunes.

* Step 11 - You need to delete the ringtone. Do this by right-clicking it choosing "Delete."

* Step 12 - Click on the "Keep Files" button which you can find on your screen.

* Step 13 - Search for the file under the User folder Music > iTunes > iTunes Music and located under the band's name folder with an extension of "m4a."

* Step 14 - Rename the "m4a" extension of your ringtone with "m4r". One option is to slowly double-click the file to rename it. Another option would be to right-click and select "Get Info" on a Mac or "Rename" on a Windows PC.

* Step 15 - Choose "Use .m4r" or the equivalent message that may appear on your screen as it warns you before it changes the file.

* Step 16 - Click the ringtone file twice.This will put the newly created ringtone to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library.

* Step 17 - You need to connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones.

Rejoice! You have just finally completed the whole procedure of customizing your own ringtone for your iPhone.
