There will come a time when you need to find some means to keep in touch with a group of people that are spread out in various directions. The point is that these radios are genuinely amazing and can essentially be a real time saver.

Yearly, all the males in our family go on a fishing jaunt to Lake Champlain. We rent an 8-bedroom home and we normally have between 6 and 10 boats that we take with us, we can have up to 20 people going on this trip annually. One of the main problems we always had was getting everyone back for lunch or dinner because we all like to eat at the same time. Often when we couldn't find someone, we would get in our boats and go looking for them, sometimes for several hours.

Then I had the practical idea to get some of these radios and put them in a couple of of the boats to try them out. These radios truly surprised me with the range and how well they worked out on the lake. These two-way radios have a range of 23 miles and no person was ever out of touch with any of the boats. Then the next year I purchased more of these so every boat had one. Which worked out well since the previous year my uncle's boat wouldn't start and he was approximately 3 miles from the camp. My uncle got on the two-way radio and the first thing he did was thank me for purchasing the radios and then told me that his boat wouldn't start. So we went out and towed him and his boat back to the house. If I never got those radios he would have had to row this rather big boat back to the house which was more or less a 3 mile trip.

These two-way radios have been a life saver and time saver. Also, you don't have to worry about replacing the batteries in these two-way radios all the time as they are rechargeable and come with a mounting station. Additionally, these Motorola radios feature a built in weather band so you can keep up with the weather when you're using them outdoors.

And you can make use of these radios for a lot more than merely a fishing trip. My mother decided to take all of my nieces and nephews to Disney Land and wanted to know if she could take the radios with, naturally I said yes. She thought that it would be a terrific idea to ensure all of the grandkids had a Motorola radio attached to them just in case someone got lost. While no one got separated from the group, that was truly a great idea she had.

SeveralA few of my family members even use them when they are going hunting in a large group to let people know when they are leaving. You have no idea what a time saver this can be unless you have ever been walking around the woods trying to search for someone you can't find, simply because they got cold and decided to go home.

Just about everyone in my family went out and bought a headset for the radio they use so when we are hunting we can keep things quiet. With 121 privacy codes and 22 different channels that can are available, there's no need to worry about other Motorola radios interfering.

These radios are very inexpensive at $39.95 for a pair when bought through Amazon.com. While I have only shared a couple of different ways that we have used the two-way radios, I am sure you can think of a lot more ways that you could put these radios to use.
