Why Should Some Psychiatrists Use Smartphone Users As Test Subjects?

By Freddy Sawyer

It sounds like a thing right out of a sci- thriller. A evil doctor making individuals his subjects for his / her vile experiments. But this is far from this scene, as a legitimate test is being done for the sake regarding recognizing human behavior and also psyche. And like countless other experiments done, there needs to be a subject, and its quite fascinating that some doctors are turning their attention to smartphone users.

Sure, you read it right ? if you use an iPhone, a Blackberry or maybe the latest Android powered phones, then you're part of this study. And what exactly is this glorious study, you might ask? According to online surveys and statistics, smartphone consumers develop a certain behavior for being loyal to certain brand and build a cult following.

In the US and UK alone, almost 33% of people are smart phone users in accordance with Nielsen surveys and many of them stay with a brand name despite it's obvious weakness, one in specific can be the case with the Apple iPhone 4. In some way, Apple marketing and advertising techniques could make people stick to the iPhone 4 though there were evident connectivity problems, especially to left handed people.

It can be traced back to the way Apple have marketed their products. From a psychological point of view, they have successfully created a picture in people's minds that possessing an Apple iPod, iTouch or even iPhone is something that makes you "cool" and "fashionable" in spite of certain style flaws.

Iphone insurance for example has toppled almost all other Smartphone insurance plan in the UK with Blackberry simply having a 24% of the share of recent insurance policies. Comprehensive iPhone insurance UK promises to protect a person's Apple Touch screen phone from theft, loss and accidental damages and since several are overall Apple fans, these policies offer like hotcakes.

No wonder Microsoft and Nokia will have a heck of a time wanting to kick out the iPhone from your top spot by rivalling through features and technology alone. According to marketing researchers, this war won't be won with normal logic on it's own because Apple gadgets were sold on an emotional level, it can only be defeated emotionally too.

Even though insurance for iphone provide strong protection towards loss, theft and accidental damages, it does have a problem since many policy owners tend to cancel their policies and ride their cover with what their banks are offering these people. But still statistics and emotional studies remain constant - Apple customers are mentally loyal with their brand and only a good emotionally rich marketing trick can kick it off the top spot.
