Non Existent Customer Service - Phone Mount For Car Review

By Evan Patterson

I would recommend this based on the combination of price and quality. The mount sticks to the windshield very well and the unit is well constructed. For those of you with a smartphone and who are not willing to pay a high price for a real GPS system from Garmin, you might wish to consider this product. The product itself comes with a windshield mount. I drive a 2004 Honda Accord LX - large dash, and mounting to the dash or windshield isn't as easy (too far from windshield and the dash would require a long-necked holder as well to make it usable while driving). I have mounted it to the air vent as a result; it works well enough for my purposes, but can be frustrating at times.

I move around a lot from different cars, this thing still sticks with no licking of the suction cup. My only problem is that it has a short arm for the cars I drive, so it must be next to the rearview mirror. I like the fact that I get both a vent and windshield mount for one low price. I use this every day for both my Droid X and my Zune. It is the kind of quality I'd expect from a mount costing three times the price. I purchased this mount to hold my Galaxy S II while I'm driving so that I could make use of the phone's navigation system.

The suction cup works great and leaves no marks on the windshield upon removal. Adjustments are virtually unlimited. Unfortunately the vent mount fits very loosely and moves back and forth when taking a turn. I'm unable to install it onto the vents closest to the driver because it interferes with the wiper control and the headlight/blinker control.

It fits the Droid perfect, leaves space for power cord and exterior jack so I can place it on the holder and hear music and talk through the speakers. Kid loves it too as we can drive with it swiveled into the widescreen/horizontal position and watch movies with the speakers plugged into the car system.

The suction cup mount functions perfectly and it has only fallen off once in several months of use. It holds my Droid 2 in place without it slipping out.

Just holds like it should, like a tree branch. I don't use the air vent attachment because those are just silly ways to break your vents, but the suction cup setup is the way to go and it works fantastic! Couldn't get the vent attachment to work on our vents (Toyota Siena), but the windshield mount works, and we were able to use our Incredible to navigate on a few long trips. We were able to access all of the buttons, and it's a pretty minor issue to have to put the phone in "Car Mode" yourself rather than having the mount do it for you. As soon as it arrived I mounted it to my heater vent and took it for a test drive. I am amazed at how well it holds my Droid Incredible 2 while bouncing down our local dirt roads filled with pot holes and recommend to anyone in need of an easy to use mount especially if you use your phone as a GPS unit. I do have a fear that the clamp release button will eventually wear out on it, but until it does, it gets a five star rating from me. I purchased this for my new MyTouch 4g. I use this product to hold my HTC Incredible to my vent mount while I use it as a GPS and Music Player (via FM Transmitter). Arms holds the Phone snugly so it will not move or fall out, the location of the charging cable and headphone jack are not interfered with by the mount.
